ARMANDO RIBEIRO
Armando Milagres Anthony Ribeiro (87) of Olney, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, fortified by the Sacraments of the Holy Church. Armando was born on July 2, 1939, in Mtwara, Tanzania to Cajetan John and Regina Maria Ribeiro.
Visitation (Viewing) and Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 13, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church (4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD 20853). Visitation hour will begin at 10:30 am. The Mass will begin at 11:30 am. The Rite of Committal (Burial) will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20906).
A light reception to honor Armando’s full and meaningful life will take place at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church after the burial ceremony.
Armando will be remembered for his warmth, quiet strength, and devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Flora; his children, Conrad (Sheila), Daryl (Onecia) and David; his grandchildren, Matthew, Ethan, Kelly, Adam and Andrew; his siblings, (late Adolf), Alda (Vivian), Afra (late Tony), Albert (Aida) and Agnes (Chris); his in-laws, Lourdes (Felix); and many nieces and nephews. He was awarded the highest rank of Queen’s Scout in his youth, and served as a member of the Rosensteel Council of the Knights of Columbus.
The family is grateful for all the calls and messages offering support at this difficult time. They request your prayers for the repose of his soul. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Judes Research Hospital.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
